Shiatsu
Shiatsu is a powerful form of hands-on, clothed bodywork. Using hand pressure and massage techniques as well as rotations and stretches along the body’s meridians and fascial lines it allows the body to release what is held. It works to address the root cause, not just what’s on the surface.

What is Shiatsu?
Our bodies are an interconnected system of bones, tendons, muscle, fascia and nerves. Injury, stress and emotional knocks create patterns in that system: pain that keeps returning, tightness, exhaustion, a mind that won’t settle.
Shiatsu works directly with those patterns using a system developed over thousands of years to understand the cause and effect change. Alongside the bodywork I draw on Transformational Dialogue and Polyvagal Theory, a modern, evidence-informed understanding of how the nervous system shapes pain, sleep, digestion and mood.
Shiatsu can help with:
Muscular and skeletal issues - particularly shoulders, neck, back, knees and hips
Chronic and persistent conditions including long-term pain, chronic fatigue, long Covid, arthritis and digestive issues such as IBS
Anxiety, low mood, insomnia, panic and grief
Hormonal imbalance, including menstruation, fertility and menopause
Initial session: Allow up to two hours. We’ll take a look at your medical history, diet and habits, and I’ll begin working with your body from the very first session. You will leave with a clear picture of what I’ve found and how I suggest we work together.
Follow-up sessions: From here, we’ll agree on a treatment plan built around you: weekly, fortnightly or monthly, or a one-off when you need it.
Lasting change comes from working with the body consistently over time, so we will review together as we go.
Initial session(up to 2 hours): £85
Follow-up sessions (1 hour): £70
