Hello, I’m Tasha.
I’m a shiatsu practitioner, who specialises in helping people resolve persistent physical and emotional issues. I’m also a Qigong teacher and sauna master.
Everything I do is rooted in ancient wisdom and a modern understanding of the body, to support people to change the patterns of a lifetime.
How I found this work

What working with me is like
Where you’ll find me
I found shiatsu travelling: I picked up a book on Qigong in an Auckland market, had my first shiatsu treatment in New Zealand on that same trip, and, later, an experience in India that changed my whole perspective on the body, mind and on what’s possible when we find the right support.
I came home with a clear intention: to train properly and make this my life’s work. I’ve been training and practising ever since.
Seventeen years on, this still feels like the work I was meant to do.
I believe skilled hands need a rigorous foundation, so I’ve built one deliberately over nearly two decades:
Bristol School of Shiatsu, where I trained as a practitioner in Zen Shiatsu, including a foundation year in the Five Elements of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
The Shiatsu College, where I qualified to teach Qigong.
Polyvagal Theory with Deb Dana, the leading voice in applying nervous system science to therapeutic practice - this underpins how I work with anxiety, sleep, digestion and chronic pain: it's the modern evidence base beneath the ancient technique.
Wild medicine at Rhizome Clinic, deepening my knowledge of plants, seasons and traditional approaches to health.
Level 2 Pirtis Sauna Master, trained in the Lithuanian tradition of sauna ritual.
End of life companion training, providing practical, non-medical support for the dying and their families.
Transformational Dialogue, for the conversations that sit alongside the bodywork.
People often arrive having tried everything else. My job is to look at what’s actually happening in your body: the history, the habits, the patterns that keep repeating, and to work with them directly. The work is physical, precise and grounded.
I work with people individually and in groups, bringing the same rigour, warmth and depth to every session.
You don’t need to believe in anything for it to work. You just need to show up.
My clinic is at The Round House in Slapton, a quirky old building in the heart of the South Hams that has been a haberdashery, a general store, a tea room and a bed and breakfast in its time. It now holds my beautiful treatment room, a ten minute walk from the sea at Slapton Sands (I love nothing more than being able to send people down for a dip after their treatment!).
Once a month I’m also at The Cedar Shed, a garden treatment room in St Werburghs, Bristol, where my practice began.
